The Festival of the New European Bauhaus 2024
On 9-13 April 2024, the New European Bauhaus Festival brings together people from all walks of life to debate and shape our future. A future that is sustainable, inclusive and beautiful. In 2024, the Festival will explore topics such as shelter and living environments, land and water, fashion and human wellbeing in light of the changing environment. This inclusive and human-centric approach aims to inspire and engage individuals in embracing sustainable choices and fostering a deep connection to the New European Bauhaus movement.
Core activities will take place in vibrant Brussels with captivating satellite events across the European Union and beyond.
The Festival programme will span its five days across four tracks of activities:
Forum - a platform for engaging discussions and the exchange of ideas surrounding the New European Bauhaus;
Fair - a laboratory and exhibition highlighting projects and prototypes that align with and support the core values of the New European Bauhaus;
Fest - a celebration that unites culture, art, and conviviality, serving as a moment of collective rejoicing, honouring freedom of expression and embracing radical, innovative, and disruptive ideas and visions;
Satellite events: events and initiatives organised independently in Brussels and beyond, with core activities aligned with the New European Bauhaus values.
Organised by the European Commission, the event is free and open to everyone.

CERAME-UNIE PUBLIC WEBINAR | BUILDING AND RENOVATING IN AN ENERGY-EFFICIENT AND RESOURCE-EFFICIENT WAY | 20 SEPTEMBER, 10:00-11:30 (CET) | ZOOM
It is our pleasure to invite you to join the Cerame-Unie Public Webinar entitled “Building and renovating in an energy-efficient and resource-efficient way”, to be held on Tuesday 20 September 2022, from 10:00-11:30, via ZOOM, as part of a Cycle of Webinars dedicated to the Ceramic Roadmap to 2050.
Renovation of our existing building stock and focusing on new near-zero energy buildings are paramount to meeting Europe’s decarbonization objectives. The European ceramic industry plays a central role to reducing energy use in buildings and construction waste.
This webinar will be the opportunity to discuss the importance of an EU energy efficient building stock to meet the decarbonization objective and how the ceramic industry can contribute to this with energy-efficient and sustainable construction products.
The objective of this Webinar is to present the energy-saving potential, durability, and reusable qualities of ceramic construction materials (clay bricks, blocks, roof tiles, pavers, expanded clay, wall and floor tiles and sanitaryware) and how the ceramic industry will be central to reducing energy use and construction waste, and supporting the Renovation Wave, through energy efficiency and circularity.
