Info: Loft Living is a socially sustainable, ecological project, representing a common home in which urban life and low cost living are combined with creative work. The brick meets special requirements in terms of compressive strength, thermal insulation and surface efficiency, and is easy, fast and convenient to work with.
The monolithic construction is characterized by optimal building physics and building biology properties and represents a contemporary and ecological building concept. Additionally, sustainable energy concept is also ensured by a large scale photovoltaic system and the use of district heating in combination with decentralized domestic hot water heat pumps. Finally, the bricks are produced at Wienerberger domestic plants, this means: transport routes can be kept short + CO 2 is reduced + the environment is protected -> local production is an important aspect to consider when evaluating the sustainability of building materials.
