A HOUSE INTRODUCED AS A CATALYST FOR THE REUSE AND REPOPULATION OF THE PROBLEMATIC SITE WITHIN SEMI-URBAN / SEMI - RURAL SPRAWL

CELOVŠKA 01

Location: Ljubljana, Slovenia

Date of construction: 2016 - 2018

Info: Celovška 01 is planned as a two-unit residential house with extremely narrow site of just 8m demanded for the construction of an elongated structure with only 2.9m – 3.4m net inner dimensions.

Densification of the sub-urban environment – the house was introduced as a catalyst for the reuse and repopulation of the problematic site within semi-urban / semi - rural sprawl.

The concept of the building balances rational land use, respectful scale of the volume and creation of the micro landmark. It uses only locally sourced and produced materials. The ventilated facade of the building is made with roof tile - Tondach Biber.
