LE METZ'IN RESTAURANT UNIVERSITAIRE À METZ TECHOPOLE

Location: Metz, France

Architects: MIL LIEUX SARL D'ARCHITECTURE

Date of construction: 2014

Info: At the crossroads of the three grandes écoles ENIM - ENSAM - IPEFAM, the new university restaurant in Metz is set to become a unifying element of the Technopôle campus, while harmoniously inserting itself into the surrounding environment. A double skin made of ceramic panels serves as a natural sunshade, while creating elegant shadows inside, over the hours and seasons.

The Ceramic façade panels have a very long technical lifetime (> 150 years). This is much longer as the average lifetime of a modern building. The panels are mounted by a click – system to the façade construction and can be removed and used again in another building after end of life of the building.
